Greetings:

Thank you so much for writing so well and clearly about the issue of females owning their sexuality in a positive way. I am tired of the labelling too. I was pushed into heterosexuality during the short years that I spent with relatives and family members who cared for me during my formative years. Attending Catholic school for girls in a Catholic "third world" country contributed to my choice as well. It took years until I got to college for me to begin understanding how I "chose" my sexuality.
I resent the fact that people who chose to make love to both or transgender people are labelled as bi-sexual which is such a loaded and controversial term. It prejudices people against others and serves to oppress those so labelled.
I love the quote about women as goddesses. It makes so much sense. Many of the goddesses that I admire and call on for strength in my daily life are so-called lesbian or bi-sexual people. I have no problem with that. I always felt that one has to begin by loving oneself and same gender loving is revolutionary to me. I had never met a woman or female that I was attracted to until recently. She is everything to me. I love how she thinks, who she loves and how she looks. I pray that someday she learns to love me the same way too.
I wish you the best on your path. You are trodding in the right or the most positive light.
It's all positive in a good way.
Best.
